In late April, the central environment inspection panel officially arrived in Hunan, Guizhou, etc. and part of smelters suspended production, further pushing up antimony ingot prices in China with suppliers continued to raise prices in the market in May. With the withdrawal of the panel in late May, the market expectation was enhanced on production resumption. In addition, prices in the overseas market fell back on sluggish demand. Prices in China moved downwards accordingly. Thus, more and more market participants were pessimistic towards the future market and some traders started to lower prices actively.
