The Chinese silicon metal market ran steadily in May. As most silicon plants in South China hadn’t recovered production early this month, spot supply of certain grade material was tight; and producers therefore held offers firm. While consumers only purchased a little based on demand due to weak downstream demand. With overseas customers preparing for the Q3 purchases, overseas enquires increased.
