Prices for section steel rebounded obviously in major Chinese domestic markets during the month after a total mark-down of RMB400-600/t (USD60-90/t) in March-April. Meanwhile, the market performance showed signs of warming up as downstream customers began to purchase seeing the spirally upward price trend and the overall market stockpile was reduced obviously as a consequence. Both traders and customers adopted cautiously optimistic attitudes towards the market prospect. Insiders deem that the section steel price is likely to go up further in June.
