Prices for section steel kept decreasing during the month, with the mark-down over MRB200/t (USD30/t). Though they rebounded obviously late of the month boosted by prices increases of raw materials as well as those in the futures market, traders were still not so confident of the market outlook seeing the insufficient downstream demand since there were few projects operated. Considering the market inventory reduced obviously in the last two weeks of the month, insiders think the price for section steel is likely to go up slightly in May.
