CRC and HGI coil prices in China continued on the downward trend this month, influenced by continuously high stocks. Steel mills became less active in producing CRC and HGI coil and began to and planned to take facility maintenance under the bad market situation. Even though prices showed some signs of rebounding in late April due to the temporary boom in the futures market, participants did not become optimistic about the coming market. Taking all factors into consideration, insiders predict prices for CRC and HGI coil are likely to go on moving down in May but the mark-down will be narrowed.
