Mainstream prices for bismuth ingot held at RMB69,000-71,000/t (USD10,003-10,293/t) VAT included ex works in early March; in addition, some producers and holders offered the material at above RMB72,000/t (USD10,438/t) VAT included ex works; however, as holders had strong will to sell but downstream consumers were reluctant to purchase, prices for the material tended to drop. In late March, as operating rates from Hunan remained at low levels but transactions in the market picked up, bismuth ingot producers lifted prices, resulting in continuous rises in bismuth ingot prices.
