Prices of both non-grain oriented electrical steel and grain oriented electrical steel in major markets of China witnessed a downward trend during this month on lower raw material costs and weak customer demand. Customers without urgent need for materials were still taking a cautious attitude and placing orders sparingly. Having no confidence in the market outlook, traders were reluctant to build large stockpiles. Insiders do not expect the market to improve in the coming month.
