After a sharp rise in February, prices of wire rod and rebar went up and down but generally recorded a decline in Chinese leading markets in March due to high stocks. Seeing relatively considerable profits in past two months, producers were active in producing wire rod and rebar in March, when the demand from building sites became a litter stronger. However, producers’ output seems increased faster than the consumption did. Insiders predict that prices for wire rod and rebar are likely to come down a little in April.
