The Chinese germanium metal 99.99%min market moved steadily in December 2016. Producers and raw material suppliers both raised offers slightly by RMB300-500/kg (USD43.32-72.20/kg) due to the bullish outlook; end consumers still purchased from hand to mouth ,so the demand remained weak. As overseas consumers have completed stock replenishment from early November to early December and the overseas market saw two long holidays in December 2016, the market was quiet in the second half of December, 2016. The national reserve ended in December 2016 and market participants expected the national reserve in 2017.
