Chinese HR strip prices witnessed an upward trend during the month mainly supported by higher raw material costs and increase in steel mills’ list prices. As steel billet prices went up, HR strip producers raised their prices accordingly. However, many customers could not accept the sharp price increase and preferred to take a cautious attitude towards the market outlook. Insiders do not expect the price to rise further in the coming month.
