Chinese stainless steel prices witnessed different trends during this month. Prices of stainless steel flat products went up mainly supported by higher raw material costs and increase in steel mills’ list prices, while those of stainless steel long products failed to rise on weak customer demand. Customers without urgent need for materials still took a cautious attitude and placed orders sparingly. Insiders think the market will keep quiet in the coming month.
