Chinese HR strip prices saw a downward trend during the month mainly because of lower raw material costs and decrease in steel mills’ list prices. As steel billet prices went down, HR strip producers reduced their prices obviously. Seeing the price decrease, customers with no urgent need for materials refused to place orders and the market sales performance continued to be bad. Insiders do not expect the market to rebound in the coming month.
