The Chinese germanium metal 99.99%min market remained glum in July with prices continuing to be under downward pressure. Large plants were firm in their quotations and small plants were reluctant to offer reductions as the price was close to cost. Transactions were few and far between due to the summer break in Europe, but domestic suppliers insisted they wouldn’t lower quotations because of this.
