In August, Chinese ferrosilicon prices were on the increase. Chinese ferrosilicon producers’ operating rate was around 40% and the market supply was relatively tight. By the end of the month, prices for ferrosilicon 72%min jumped by RMB400/t, and ferrosilicon 75%min prices moved up by RMB350/t from those of late July.
