Overall, the titanium market continued the stable but upward momentum from July in August-the typical off season.
As for the feedstock market, prices of ilmenite in Chinese market went up continually in early August and remained firm late this month. Prices for high titanium slag also inched up over the past four weeks. Meanwhile, the Chinese titanium tetrachloride and titanium sponge markets witnessed stable transactions and prices for the materials saw little change in general compared with last month. The Chinese titanium mill products market remained dim with prices for most titanium products still rather low and producers and traders receiving fewer orders due to poor demand during the traditional off-season.
