In July, the operation rate of antimony concentrate stayed at a low level in Chinese and overseas markets, and the supply was extremely tight. Impacted by this, the supply of antimony concentrate, antimony ingot, antimony trioxide and other downstream products kept short and the prices moved up with a large markup. Producers claimed that it was hard for them to get raw material, so they had to reduce the output and held back from selling.
The summer holiday was not obvious in overseas market this year and many foreign plants did not have the plan to halt production in a short time, which led to tighter supply. Participants were optimistic about the coming market.
