As transactions in the Chinese molybdenum market remained sparse and the summer season was approaching, the market broke the stalemate and started shifting down. The majority of producers were negative about the market outlook and traders took the lead in selling off, so prices of molybdenum concentrate and ferromolybdenum showed softness. Steel plants demanded lower tender prices for ferromolybdenum at the end of the month. In the global market, the molybdenum price saw reductions as well due to limited trading, and consumers remained cautious about purchasing while holding a pessimistic view of the market.
