Chinese tantalum market continued to be inactive in June. Although tantalum ore prices were relatively firm, prices for tantalum products maintained at low level as suppliers, many of whom found it hard to strike deals, priced aggressively. In comparison, niobium prices firmed up as demand for niobium-related products was strong and supply for niobium concentrate remained tight when major overseas mines reduced output.
