HRC prices continued to go down during the month, in line with the poor market performance. Major mills cut HRC list prices for July production, heightening market participants’ cautious attitude to some extent. Downstream demand shrank significantly, influenced by the high temperatures and continuous rain during the off-season, so the market performance remained unsatisfactory. Insiders foresee a further price decline in July.
