Section steel prices witnessed a downward trend in most Chinese cities during the month and the market performance was quite sluggish, lacking strong support from downstream demand. Although raw material prices showed some signs of rebounding at the end of June, demand from downstream industry is unlikely to become much stronger, given that we are in the off season. Therefore, insiders believe that Chinese section steel prices will continue to go down next month.
