The Chinese indium market was sluggish in May with mainstream prices for indium ingots plummeting, which left most participants feeling pessimistic about the market outlook. Due to a lack of end-user demand, the majority of producers who have export quotas are looking to tap into overseas demand. Traders remained inactive on the whole during May with only a few being able to conclude deals.
