Chinese stainless steel prices went up early this month mainly supported by higher raw material costs, but they saw a downward trend afterwards on weak customer demand. Customers with no urgent need for materials were just taking a cautious attitude and placed orders sparingly. Insiders do not suppose the market will improve in the coming month.
