During April, China’s tantalum-niobium market operated slowly. On the one hand, supply for tagged tantalum and niobium ores was tight, but due to thin profit margin, most overseas miners reduced output and stood by the sideline; on the other hand, domestic smelters of tantalum and niobium didn’t receive many orders and end users continued to press down their prices, so prices for some tantalum products didn’t increase but dropped, resulting in a stalemate in mid-late April.
