Section steel prices demonstrated a sharp upward trend in most domestic cities during the month due to higher raw material prices. Prices of steel billet and iron ore have increased by 10-15% since the end of February. Moreover, the downstream demand was stronger than it was during last month. April is traditionally considered as the high season for steel consumption, so insiders believe that Chinese section steel prices will increase further next month.
