The Chinese titanium and niobium market was quiet in February as most Chinese smelters held off making purchases and left the market for the Spring Festival holiday. Suppliers were not anxious to seal deals and continued to hold their quotations firm due to tight supply. Most end users hold a wait-and-see attitude at present and will continue to make small purchases for immediate uses. As market demand for titanium and niobium concentrate will increase with smelters resuming production successively, the titanium and niobium market is expected to see a rise in transactions.
