Welded pipe prices witnessed an upward trend at the end of February due to higher raw material prices. However, seamless pipe prices failed to go up accordingly, in the absence of strong demand. March was traditionally considered as the high season for steel consumption. Moreover, the price of steel billet, the raw material, was likely to maintain the upward trend during the next month. Therefore, insiders believe that Chinese steel pipe prices will increase as a whole in March.
