Non-grain oriented electrical steel prices maintained an upward trend in major domestic cities during the month, with the supply remaining tight. However, grain oriented electrical steel prices decreased to some extent due to the weak downstream demand. Ex-works prices of non-grain oriented electrical steel from leading producers continued to increase and the inventory in major Chinese markets was not high. Therefore, insiders believe that Chinese non-grain oriented electrical steel prices will continue to increase next month, while grain oriented electrical prices are likely to decrease further.
