The Chinese tantalum and niobium market remained stagnant in January. On the one hand, most consumers left the market due to the coming Spring Festival Holiday. Domestic smelters received rare orders from downstream users. On the other hand, the output from overseas tantalum ore producers decreased and many suppliers predicted that the tantalum prices will rebound after the holiday. Major suppliers continued to hold stocks and watch the market further. It is predicted that the tantalum and niobium concentrate market will see higher offers with inactive buying activities in February.
