In January, Chinese ferrosilicon market saw jumping prices. In early month, the producers raised prices as the market supply was tense and the production operating rate was low. The downstream buyers had to accept prices incline for normal production and rebuilding stocks for Spring Festival holiday. By the end of the month, and the prices for ferrosilicon 72%min had increased by15.2% with those for ferrosilicon 75%min jumped by 14.1%.
