Iron ore market continued moving downward in 2015 when downstream steel mills cut production in China while the supply kept increasing after major iron ore mines in global market lifted their output further. The huge supply and rapidly decreasing prices in overseas market dragged China’s domestic iron ore market down, forcing many Chinese iron ore mines to close production in the year due to increasing losses.
