Non-grain oriented electrical steel prices maintained an upward trend in major domestic cities during the month, supported by higher raw material prices and the tight supply. However, grain oriented electrical steel prices failed to go up accordingly with downstream demand remaining insufficient. The price of CRC, the raw material, began to stabilize at the end of this month and most domestic traders were dissatisfied with their sales performance after the price increase. Therefore, insiders believe Chinese non-grain oriented electrical steel prices will stop increasing and electrical steel prices as a whole will be stable next month.
