The Chinese cadmium ingot market was still performing weakly in August. As demand from the Chinese and overseas markets remained slow, the price had been decreasing. The spot market was quiet this month. Downstream users entered the market and simply made purchases from hand to mouth. The purchase volume began to reduce for the first time following the arrival of the off-season. Most participants were just taking a wait-and-see attitude towards future market developments.
