The Chinese germanium 99.99%min market remained quiet in December with stable fundamentals and infrequent transactions. As the end of the year drew close, consumers continued to postpone new purchases due to feeble demand. Large producers’ quotations were firm with no signs of movement due to support from the national reserve. However, small traders and producers had to lower their prices slightly in order to secure more sales and free up cash. As the western markets were on holiday in late December, transactions in the overseas markets were rare.
