Steel pipe prices showed a downward trend nationwide during the month, mainly because of the poor market performance. As it was the traditional off-season, the demand from downstream industries remained insufficient. Not being confident of the market outlook, traders were inactive in supplementing inventories and the overall market stock ran at a relatively low level. Insiders foresee a decreasing price in August.
