Chinese tungsten market remained sluggish over June. Many downstream plants started halting production towards summer, resulting in a decrease in consumptions of raw material. Consumers were clearly waiting on the sideline while prices continue to decline, holding out for as long as possible to see how low price levels will go. Suppliers lowered prices to stimulate sales and free up money. At the same time, foreign markets saw poor demand and scarce buying activities as well.
