Iron ore stocks at ports continued to drop this month. With fewer supplies, imported iron ore prices fluctuated with an upward trend. In the second half of the month, iron ore prices began to slide as steel factories faced big losses. Chinese-origin iron ore market was generally stable. Iron ore stocks at ports started to go up slightly at the end of the month and the steel market kept performing dimly. It is expected that iron ore prices will drop next month and the market may turn to be stable near the end of July after reaching a weak balance between supply and demand.
