Chinese molybdenum market saw lower prices in May. As downstream steel mills reduced consumption volume of ferromolybdenum and pressed bidding prices, domestic ferromolybdenum prices were on the decline. At the same time, suppliers faced big funding pressures and had to lower their offers to promote sales. Many traders in the international market were pessimistic about the future market and in a strong mind to sell out their materials. As a result, the international molybdenum prices will continue to decrease in the future. It is predicted that the molybdenum oxide prices will decrease to USD7/lb in June.
