Stainless scrap prices went down slightly during the month due to the poor market performance, as well as declining raw material prices. Lacking any confidence in the market outlook, most traders were cautious about supplementing inventories, and thus the overall market stock stood at a relatively low level by the end of the month. Insiders think the stainless scrap price may stop decreasing in June.
