Chinese Spring Festival was in the mid-end February, which had big effect on the whole market. Manganese alloy market was quieter than that of the previous months. With the Spring Festival approaching, the prices of some manganese alloy products decreased slightly in the dull market situation. Market saw rare transactions and prices slightly moved down through the month.
In February, manganese ore market was also influenced by the Spring Festival and prices dropped when it closed to the holiday. Manganese ore traders reported that mainstream manganese ore prices hardly hold firm either, as manganese alloy market had no sign of rebounding.
