Market prices for non-grain oriented electrical steel maintained their downward trend this month, impacted by the weak demand from downstream industries. However, prices for grain oriented electrical steel rose up, supported by the leading producers’ higher ex-works prices. The demand for grain oriented electrical steel is stronger than that for non-grain oriented electrical steel. Therefore, insiders believe non-grain oriented electrical steel prices will continue to go down in April, while prices for grain oriented electrical steel will continue to increase.
