In February LME nickel price went down again, and dropped below USD14,000/t during Spring Festival holiday. Nickel cathode trading in Chinese domestic market was quiet due to the long holiday. Most of the ferronickel producers halted production during the holiday and they were still watching the market. Nickel ore demand went down and thus trading was flat.
