The rare earth market was in a stalemate in the first half of February
. Both suppliers and consumers held wait-and-see attitudes . As the majority of rare earth separation plants (“separation rate” for short) were still out of production, suppliers were optimistic about the markets for PrNd, dysprosium, terbium and europium in the near term despite consumers’ hand-to-mouth purchase strategy . Suppliers raised the prices for PrNd, dysprosium, terbium and europium, but the markets witnessed slow buying activities . In the second half of February, the spring festival holiday came and participants left the market for vacation . The market saw limited buying activities.
