The gallium metal 99.99%min market in January remained sluggish. Most of the Chinese suppliers were mainly focusing on long-term contracts and the inquiries from the spot market were quite limited and the demand from end users remained at low level. Due to the abundant supply on the market, gallium metal 99.99%min prices in China continued to witness a drop of RMB20/kg (USD3.2/kg) and ended at RMB1,200-1,260/kg (USD191-200/kg) at the end of January. With Spring Festival holidays coming, end users maintained the hand-to-mouth purchasing volume.
