Chinese molybdenum market still operated weakly in the first month of 2015. Steel mills continued to force down their purchase prices for ferromolybdenum, and suppliers kept lowering offers to gain deals under tight cash flow, the two factors combined and resulted in an ever-decreasing ferromolybdenum prices. At the same time, the markets of molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum chemicals saw no sign of rebounding with lower prices due to sluggish downstream demand.
