The Chinese section steel market showed no signs of improving in the first month of 2015, with downstream demand remaining weak. As a result, section steel prices in most Chinese cities witnessed a sharp downward trend due to the lower raw material prices. The Chinese Lunar New Year will begin on February 18 and most market participants will take a long holiday during February. Therefore, insiders believe section steel prices will be stable as a whole next month.
