Mercury metal market saw increasing buying activities from pharmaceutical factories after National Day Holiday (Oct1st-Oct7th) with increase in price. However, the status was hard to keep for a long term, demand from other related downstream industries remains sluggish, and most consumers still make purchase on need-basis. In the second half of October, prices of mercury metal kept relatively firm. Suppliers of mercury catalyst reported increasing buying activities from PVC manufacturing enterprises which further brings demand for mercury metal as raw material. It is expected that the market would remain active into November.
