Chinese titanium market was in downtrend in November. There were few deals in titanium ilmenite market and as producers’ stocks pressure increased, titanium ilemenite prices declined further. With the major high titanium slag producer releasing their tender, high titanium slag prices also witnessed a decline. Titanium tetrachloride prices were relatively stable and several producers intended to resume production. Besides, after the price rise of titanium sponge, more enquires existed in the market and deals improved a bit, while downstream titanium products market still saw no positive changes.
Due to the price decline of titanium ilmenite, Chinese ferrotitanium 30%min prices slipped down. What’s more, steel mills decreased their purchasing volume and traders also had no intention to make purchases, leading a quiet market.
