In December, Chinese tungsten market showed no signs of rebounding. Major state-owned tungsten ores ceased production and refused to sell their materials at prices lower than production cost. Some traders were under great capital pressure and sold out their goods to maintain cash flow. Most consumers only made hand-to-mouth purchases and delayed rebuilding stocks. Rare transactions were concluded in the spot market. Overseas end users left the market for the holiday and sent few inquiries in the export market.
