Many manganese alloy producers in North China were forced to shut down production during the APEC meeting in November, but the market still saw adequate supply with suppliers holding previously acquired stocks in hand, and the result was that prices fell in early-mid November. After the APEC summit, most producers focused their attention on resuming production, so the market was quiet and prices stable in the second half of the month
. Meanwhile, although low-carbon ferromanganese demand remained soft, there were few producers dealing in it, so the market for this material saw relatively balanced supply and demand . As a result, the price held steady through the month.
