Main production provinces of refined zinc in China are in turn ranked in Hunan, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia and Guangxi. Inner Mongolia is China's fourth largest refined zinc production areas and zinc smelters’ raw materials are abundant in Inner Mongolia owing to large zinc-lead mines resource reserve. The average operating rate of Inner Mongolia zinc smelters is 95.7% in the first nine months of the year, up sharply by 20.7% from Chinese average operating rate. The operating rates usually remain at high level of above 90% except maintenance. Zinc smelters will run fully in Q4.
